Change the world

Welcome to the Human Resources Information Systems [HRIS] division of the Nelson Mandela University Human Resources Department.

HRIS consists of four sections, namely leave administration; contracts and data administration; document management and HR management information systems HRMIS.

Our HR Administrators are responsible for all data-capturing, particularly the IWC/FTC contracts. Each data item (e.g. appointment type, leave type, biographical information, etc.) is coded when it is captured to assist with HEMIS and statistical reporting.

All HR documentation is scanned into a document management system for easy retrieval by HR staff. The system is rigidly controlled by a series of locks and passwords and is only accessible to HR staff. Our Filing Administrator is responsible for scanning in all records and correspondence
